How Ignite woks

Ignite is a flexible, partner-led process built around structured mentorship, weekly working sessions, and clear checkpoints. The goal is simple: help strong early founders make smarter decisions, build real momentum, and create the basis for a long-term relationship when there is mutual conviction.
Weekly mentorship
Meet regularly with 1616 to get targeted guidance, pressure-test decisions, and define next priorities.
Check-ins at Weeks 3, 6, and 8
At each checkpoint, we assess progress together, refine the focus, and decide what comes next.
Case-by-case
Investment is not automatic. For founders where conviction builds, 1616 may invest during the check-ins or after the process.
Flexibility and mutual choice at key stages
Founder can continue or step away as the process unfolds in weeks 3 and 6.

Meet The Team
We have built up a successful track record of selecting, investing in, and supporting outstanding founders. Ignite is led directly by the 1616 Ventures team. Founders work with investors who stay close to the earliest stages of company-building and bring practical judgment, strategic perspective, and a long-term mindset.
